Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Each session includes a simple meal, a video and small group discussion.
This day is for all parish Alpha teams to be equipped with the skills to successfully run Alpha in local parishes. New team members for 2021 are particularly invited, as well as anyone who is interested in finding out more about Alpha and exploring how it can be used as an evangelisation tool in parish life.
The day will include information on what Alpha is and how it fits into the faith formation process in a parish. Training will include small group facilitation, and how to run the Alpha retreat. Other areas covered will include how to form a strong Alpha team, and how to effectively promote Alpha in the parish.
