Laying a Missionary Foundation Course

In setting out his vision for the Diocese of Broken Bay, Bishop Anthony highlights our mission by saying that the Diocese "exists to evangelise, to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, gathered as one body and sent out to be missionary disciples."

To live out this mission today in our parishes and communities requires new knowledge and skills, as well as creativity and vision. There is an outward focus, a 'sending out', so that every baptised follower of Jesus can share in the mission of the Church to take the Good News to all people by word and action, so that indeed all can be 'One in Christ'.

As a way of better understanding what it means to evangelise, to be missionary disciples, and to effectively take up this outward orientation, the Parish Renewal and Discipleship Team is offering a Laying a Missionary Foundation Course in July-August 2022. Take up this opportunity and be part of this exciting initiative. Please note that there is no cost; and morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided on the Retreat Day.
