Sunday of the Word of God - 5 February 2023
In Australia, the Sunday of the Word of God is celebrated on the first Sunday in February each year.
Pope Francis asks us to mark this Sunday with a certain solemnity, and to ‘celebrate, study, and disseminate’ the word of God, “for we urgently need to grow in our knowledge and love of the Scriptures and of the risen Lord, who continues to speak his word and to break bread in the community of believers.” (Aperuit Illis, 8)
