Pastoral Discernment - Central Coast

Central Coast Pastoral Discernment Project

As part of the 35th anniversary of our Diocese of Broken Bay, Bishop Anthony Randazzo invited the community of the church on the Central Coast to journey forward together as pilgrims and missionaries. Bishop Anthony identified the Central Coast as a particular context for a renewed proclamation of the Gospel, for evangelisation and catechesis, and for innovative pastoral creativity. He encouraged our pastoral discernment to be guided by the Holy Spirit as we journeyed forward in this exciting community project.

After 12 engaging and very productive months, the PDCC Project Summary Report is completed and available below.

The Final Report includes an Executive Summary, emerging themes, opportunities and obstacles, and critical areas of development that have been identified that require pastoral attention.

Along the Journey

Bishop Anthony Randazzo joined priests and parishioners on the Central Coast at a Conversation Forum to hear and comment on data and emerging themes from the PDCC project gathered over the past several months. Once all listening and dialogue sesions have been completed and evaluated, recommendations will go to the Bishop and an implementation plan will be developed later this year. Thank you to everyone who contributed to a fruitful event at Our Lady of the Rosary, The Entrance, on Sunday, and especially our Project Facilitator Patti Beattie.
