Visiting Clergy and Religious

In order to carry out a public ministry in the Diocese of Broken Bay, visiting clergy or religious to the diocese are required to be compliant with both Civil Law and Church requirements. Please complete one of the following processes (applicable to you) to request permission to minister.

Process 1:
For Clergy or Religious without an Australian Catholic Ministry Number (ACMR) or a Greater Sydney Ministry Card.

  1. Download and complete the following forms:
  2. Forward completed;
    • Completed Declaration forms
    • Details of your visit
    • Details of your Working with Children Check emailed to the Office for Safeguarding and Professional Standards (Chancery) at clergy.safeguarding@bbcatholic.org.au
  3. Upon arrival of your visit sign the Diocese of Broken Bay Sacristy Ministry Register located in the Sacristy of the Mass Centre prior to ministering.
OR
Process 2:
For Clergy or Religious with an ACMR

  1. Forward your ACMR number and details of your Working with Children Check to the Office for Safeguarding and Professional Standards (Chancery) at clergy.safeguarding@bbcatholic.org.au
  2. Upon arrival of your visit sign the Diocese of Broken Bay Sacristy Ministry Register located in the Sacristy of the Mass Centre prior to ministering

OR
Process 3:
For Clergy or Religious with a Greater Sydney Ministry Card (only applicable to appointed and incardinated clergy of the Archdiocese of Sydney, Diocese of Broken Bay, Parramatta and Wollongong).
  1. Upon arrival of your visit sign and record Ministry Card details in the Diocese of Broken Bay Sacristy Ministry Register located in the Sacristy of the Mass Centre prior to ministering.
