Thank You to Our Volunteers
National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of volunteers in many areas of Australia.
Across the country in the period 16-22 May 2022, we thank the six million Australians who volunteer their time in support of their communities. Following coronavirus, many organisations have moved events to an online format or will acknowledge volunteers in different ways through online media and other digital formats.
Did you know that four in ten Australians volunteer? According to the 2011 Census, the majority of volunteers are working either full-time or part-time, they are couples with children aged 5-18 and, although slightly more females than males volunteer, the difference is not as significant as we might think.
Our Pymble parish is supported by an important group of volunteers. All who volunteer their time and their talents come together to create a living community of faith.
