PARISH FETE UPDATE & SAVE THE DATE

ST BENEDICT FEAST DAY CELEBRATION

Due to wet weather and wet grounds, our Parish Fete scheduled for 31 May has been cancelled.

While we are disappointed, we are already looking forward with great excitement to celebrating the Feast Day of St Benedict on Sunday, 12 July, with a very special parish celebration!

This will be a wonderful opportunity for our parish community to come together in faith, fellowship and celebration. During this special event, we will also be drawing both our Major Raffle and Calf Raffle. Tickets for both raffles are still on sale, and we are deeply grateful for the ongoing support and generosity of our parishioners.

There will be plenty to enjoy on the day, including:

· The Kazzi Family with their wonderful fresh fruit and veggie pre-pack boxes

· The Sakkal Family serving their famous and delicious BBQ specials

· The Camilleri Family running the always-popular Chocolate Wheel

· Piety shop

· Coffee/tea

· Gifts and crafts etc.

There will be fun, delicious food, and something for everyone to enjoy.

Sunday the 9^th of October 2023 at our Parish, the sky cleared as we celebrated the most wonderful Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima. It commenced at 12:30pm with a short play about the story of Fatima. Then Rosary was recited in five languages, followed by a procession in the Parish Grounds and then Mass with Bishop Anthony Randazzo in the Parish Church. Fr Alberic, and Fr Shansana were present also concelebrating Mass with Fr Paul Durkin.

There was a raffle with prizes and afternoon tea at the end that was enjoyed by all. It was a very beautiful and spiritual day, with about 215 attendees.

Thank you to all those that offered help especially: Robert Pirina for the cake, Cosimo and Michelle Murdocca for the flowers, John Belcastro for the rose petals, Pina Frasca for baking and Lila Bacha for holding the piety stall.

May Mary, the Mother of Our Lord Jesus, through her intercession, shower upon us all the beautiful blessings from heaven. God bless.
