Welcome people into the church. They offer the weekly bulletin and any printed material to parishioners and also assist in taking up the collection.
"Always remember to welcome a stranger, for you were a stranger once yourself." Augustine.
This is a wonderful "way to go" for those who may not be able to commit to more formal ministries. All it needs is for you to come on a regular basis and:
- be at the door early to greet,
- give out parish information,
- help people be seated
- look after the elderly and disabled,
- organize the handing around of the collection baskets.
Who can do this?
Well, it is a great job for: a whole family, singles, retired, newcomers.
The only qualifications are: that you enjoy being with people and can do join in a roster
