Hornsby Cathedral Parish considers every aspect of parish life to be open to people of all beliefs and hence every aspect of parish life is evangelistic.
However, teams of volunteers assist in more traditional ways of evangelisation. Specifically:
- Catechists and sponsors for the Christian Rite of Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and for Children (RCIC).

Catechists who take Catholic teachings to students in state primary and secondary schools.

The Sacramental Program team who prepare children for the Sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
