The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The RCIA program is for those interested in finding out more about the Catholic faith or, indeed, becoming Catholics.

For those who are unbaptised, weekly catechetical meetings are held from September to March or April, culminating in the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil.

For those who are baptised in another denomination, meetings are held, and when the candidate is prepared, their reception into the church is held at a convenient date.

The meetings are advertised in the Parish Bulletin.

If you have been thinking about becoming Catholic or have questions about taking the next step, please contact the Parish Office.

BECOMING A CATHOLIC WEBSITE

The Catholic Enquiry Centre has launched a new website, “Becoming Catholic”, to help answer the questions that people commonly ask when they consider becoming Catholic, and to invite people into the life of the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Enquiry Centre is a work of the National Centre for Evangelisation, and this website is designed as a gateway for people to connect with their local Catholic community.

It provides introductory information on God, including Jesus and the Trinity, explores the birth of the Church, and covers other key topics like Mary, the Bible, the saints, and sacraments.
