Embracing the Rosary: Join Our October Celebration!

Virgin Mary and rosary

If you are Catholic, you have probably been exposed to the Holy Rosary. Many of us grew up praying the Rosary in groups, at school, or within our families. It's one of the most cherished prayers of the Church, and here in Hornsby / Waitara, it's also an integral part of our identity as Our Lady of the Rosary (OLOR) Cathedral Parish. And this October, the month dedicated to the Rosary, we want to celebrate it in a big way — will you join us?

Going Beyond Repetition
The Rosary, for some, has been labelled as repetitive and viewed more as a tradition. However, there's so much more to it than simply reciting the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be prayers. The Rosary is meant to be a profound meditation on the life, passion, and death of Jesus Christ.

In essence, the Rosary tells the story of our lives as well. It reflects how we navigate our personal Calvaries, the small, every day "resurrections" we experience, and our efforts to follow Jesus with faith and determination.
