Catholic Women's League
cwlaThe Catholic Women’s League of Australia (CWLA) addresses social justice and ethical questions as one of our primary tasks.

The CWLA seeks to influence legislative and administrative bodies at all levels in order to preserve the dignity of the human person, and strive to be a voice for the voiceless; and have representation at the United Nations.

We also liaise with other organisations and faith communities in a creating awareness about social justice and ethical issues. We foster ecumenism and inter-faith dialogue.

The Toukley Branch of the Catholic Women’s League supports a Scholarship Fund to assist students, in Year 11 and Year 12, at Catholic Colleges on the Central Coast to complete their studies.

Scholarships are awarded annually, to assist students with their studies, and in August a morning tea is held to meet the recipients, and hear of their interests and aspirations. In previous years, all have been worthy recipients and were most appreciative of the financial assistance given them to complete their studies.

Our vision is to create a more just society through prayer and action and our work is dedicated to Our Lady Help of Christians and the Holy Spirit.

We meet on the fourth Monday of each month, in the parish centre, at St Mary’s Toukley at 10.00am

Our hope is that more women, young and old, will join with us in the service of the Lord.

If you would like to join the Catholic Women’s League you would be most welcome.
