Children's First Reconciliation
The sacrament of First Reconciliation has been postponed to a later date in light of recent events
In the Sacrament of First Reconciliation, we come in contact in a profound way with the unconditional mercy and love of God. Each time we celebrate Reconciliation, we reaffirm our vocation as disciples of Jesus and our willingness to recommit ourselves to the life of faith begun in Baptism.
By expressing our sorrow for our sin in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we experience forgiveness and healing. Our relationship with God and our unity as Church is made whole again.
In our Diocese, Catholic children usually make their First Reconciliation at age 8. They prepare for this through the Children's Sacramental Program. The sacrament will be next administered in the Parish in 2020. Please note that Reconciliation must be celebrated after Confirmation, and before First Communion.
