Baptism

Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation. Catholic families are encouraged to baptise their children soon after birth, however, sometimes people are baptised later, or even as adults.

Infant Baptism

Infant baptisms are scheduled at Manly Freshwater Parish twice a month. Couples are asked to contact the Parish Office to register for the online Preparation Program.

  • Manly Baptisms are held the  4th Sunday of the month at 12 noon.
  • Freshwater Baptisms are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 12 noon

Welcoming Ceremony

Prior to the Baptism, we will hold a Welcoming Ceremony where your family will be introduced to the Parish community

  • St Mary’s Manly  on the 3rd Sunday of the month during the 10:30 am Mass.
  • St John the Baptist Freshwater on the 1st Sunday of the month during the 9am Mass.
