Calling a priest in danger of death
A priest should be called when family recognise that death may be near. It does not matter at what time of the day or night. Priests are prepared for any emergency and are only too willing to be of assistance as a loved one returns home to God.
The parish mobile phone number is 0423 279 263.
The priests from the parishes of Wyong and Toukley are on call roster 24 hours a day, seven days a week to attend to those in Wyong hospital who are in special need of an anointing, either in emergency or when close to death.
Please notify the nursing staff and ask for the Catholic Chaplain.
Priests from the parishes of East Gosford, Terrigal and Wyoming are on roster for Gosford hospital.
Again, notify the nursing staff and ask for the Catholic Chaplain.
Prayer for the Sick
In faith and love we ask you, eternal God
to watch over your family
and especially those who are sick and in the midst of suffering.
In your mercy and loving kindness
no prayer of ours is diminished,
no tear unheeded, no cry unnoticed.
Through the prayer of Jesus
may the blessings promised to the poor in spirit
bring healing to the sick
