Our Mission

Bringing the light of Christ to the city
We love, we grow, we serve

Given to us through the Spirit, our Parish Mission is not only a celebration but also a responsibility.

Bringing the light of Christ to the city

Together we share the love of Christ and spread the word of God, evangelising to the people of Chatswood and greater Sydney.

“Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:18-20

We Love

We love God and we love one another, living as good examples with kindness, compassion, honesty and humility.

“He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39

We Grow

We grow together in faith, deepening our relationship with God and finding greater meaning and purpose in our lives.

“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:9-10

We Serve

We come together as a parish community to serve, support and nurture one another, acting as a source of good in the community, helping those in need through acts of compassion and action.

“After he had washed their feet, had put on his robe, and had returned to the table, he said to them, ‘Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord - and you are right, for that is what I am. So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.’” John 13:12–15
