The Sunday 6pm Mass is designated specially as a Youth Mass. There are various ministries our youth may be involved in:
- Youth choir – singers and musicians lead the congregation at various parts of the Mass in worship.
- Readers – the first and second readings, responsorial psalm and Gospel acclamation are read by the youth.
- Altar Servers – youth assist the priest at this Mass as junior or senior servers where available.
Pymble Catholic Parish has two youth groups that run weekly during the school term. Both groups aim to be an opportunity for our young people to gather, have lots of fun, develop friendships with like-minded people, and grow in their faith through formation.
The Thursday night group is for youth aged 11 to 13 and meets in the meeting area at Sacred Heart Church, Pymble or in the Marian Hall in the grounds of Sacred Heart Primary School, Pymble. The Sunday night group is for youth aged 14 years up to young adults. This group meets in the meeting area at Sacred Heart Church, Pymble. Both groups run from 7 to 8:30pm. Because of coronavirus, these groups may also meet via Zoom video conference.
For more information, please contact our Youth Minister via the Parish office.
Our parish is under the care of the Salvatorian order. One of their apostolates is with the youth, and they therefore run various youth events/activities throughout the year, such as Praise and Worship nights and gatherings. These are advertised in our Parish bulletin, or see the Salvatorian Youth Australia group at Facebook SalvatorianYouthAu.
Australian Catholic Youth Festival

The Festival provides young people with opportunities to deepen their relationship with Jesus, be empowered to be disciples in the world, and encounter and celebrate the vitality of the Church in Australia.
