Broken Bay pilgrimage to World Youth Day
World Youth Day 2023 is in Lisbon, Portugal from 1 to 6 August 2023. The theme for the event is "Mary arose and went with haste" (Luke 1:39).
The Diocese of Broken Bay is hosting a Broken Bay pilgrimage to World Youth Day.
In addition to Lisbon, the Broken Bay three week pilgrimage will include the Sanctuary of Fátima in Portugal and, before Portugal, a pilgrimage from Venice to Rome in Italy. The pilgrimage will visit in Italy: Venice, Padova, Ravenna, Bologna, Florence, Siena, Assisi, Cascia, the Vatican and Rome. And in Portugal: Lisbon and Fatima. The pilgrimage will depart to Venice in July 2023 and return from Lisbon in August 2023.
Broken Bay also have a Lisbon only one week pilgrimage for those who wish to attend only the week of World Youth Day in Lisbon.
Registrations for the Broken Bay pilgrimage are now open for young people aged 16-35 (at the time of departure). The link below provides direct access to the online registration. Now is the time to start considering your own World Youth Day plans.

Applications for leadership roles
Parish leaders are welcome to apply for a leadership role with a Broken Bay pilgrimage.
