Healing Masses are presently on hold until we can gather in a Covid safe way. The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick can be available after any weekday Mass upon request
A Healing Mass is celebrated in each community every month except January.
At Carlingford, this occurs on the first Thursday of the month at 10:00am in the Carlingford Meeting Room behind the church, and at Epping on the third Wednesday of the month at 10:00am in the church. During the celebration of the Mass, prayers are offered for those present and for those who are being prayed for by those attending. The celebrant lays his hands on each person’s head as a sign of our prayer for God’s healing strength.
The morning concludes with morning tea and good conversation.
Every third month (March, June, September, and December), the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is celebrated within the Healing Mass.
The Healing Mass in December may be celebrated on a different day to the usual schedule and at the later time of 11:00am, with a special pre-Christmas luncheon for senior parishioners following.
