Getting involved

There are many ways to get involved in our parish. Choose from the list below and download this form (DOCX 16.6KB) to sign up.

Your details will be given to the coordinator of ministries you choose and they will contact you to invite you to take part

           Take communion to the sick or elderly in private homes /aged care facilities *

            Make a friendly phone call to a socially isolated person

            Teach a weekly half hour religion lesson to a primary school class in a state school *

            Teach a weekly half hour religion lesson to a high school class in a state school *

            Visit & provide practical assistance to people in financial difficulty  (St Vincent de Paul) *

            Proclaim the Word of God at Mass

            Give Holy Communion at Mass (age 16+)

            Serve on the altar at Mass   [     ] (adult 18 +)  *     [     ] (junior Yr 5+)

            Sing or play music at Mass

           Lead or help with children’s liturgy at Mass  (OLHC 10.15am St Gerard’s 9.30am) *

            Serve morning tea after Sunday morning Mass

            Join a team which cooks and serves dinner for the community one night each month

            Put the finishing touches to the flowers, candles & altar cloths (Altar society)

           Welcome & greet people at Mass

            Fold and collate the bulletin on Saturday

           I would like to know more about becoming Catholic

           Help parents prepare for baptism 

            Help with yard-work at our next biannual working bee

            Cook a BBQ after Sunday night Mass

            Write the prayers of intercession for one month.

            I would like to join the Men of St Joseph on Thursday nights

I would like to join the Friday morning bible study group

       I would like to join an online bible reading group

           I would like to join a Friday night youth group (Years 7-9)

           I would like to join a Sunday night youth group (ages 16-22)

            I would like to join a Tuesday night young adults group (ages 23 – 30)
