Under the guidance of the Director of Catholic Schools Broken Bay, Danny Casey, the Diocese is responsible for overseeing the management of 44 schools in the area. This includes 36 Catholic primary schools, 7 Catholic high schools, and 1 K-12 school.
With approximately 15,000 students across Sydney's lower north shore to Lake Munmorah on the Central Coast, the education and formation of students in Catholic discipleship is at the heart of our Catholic Schools System.
CatholicCare is a not-for-profit non-government social care organisation that has provided professional services to the people of the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay since 1987.
CatholicCare provides a wide range of programs to assist children, young people, individuals, and families through Children's Services, Family Centres, and Out-of-Home Care programs in Sydney's North and on the NSW Central Coast. Their mission is “to serve in justice and love…”, working with people to make a positive difference in their lives.
Established in 1997 by Bishop David Walker, the Catholic Development Fund (CDF) acts as the treasury for the Diocese of Broken Bay. It serves parishes, schools, CatholicCare, and other diocesan agencies by pooling deposits and providing loans for capital works at affordable interest rates.
Since inception, the CDF has provided loans in excess of $150 million for school building projects and over $7 million for parish facilities. The CDF exists to provide treasury services and financial support to assist the Diocese in the fulfilment of its mission.
