About the CDF

Established in 1997 by Bishop David Walker, the Catholic Development Fund (CDF) acts as the treasury for the Diocese of Broken Bay. It was created to provide a dedicated financial resource to support the ongoing pastoral, educational, and social works of the Church.

The CDF serves our parishes, schools, CatholicCare, and other diocesan agencies by securely pooling deposits and providing loans for vital capital works at affordable interest rates.
