Walking with Jesus: Pathways of Discipleship - The authorised Catholic SRE curriculum for the Diocese of Broken Bay.
The Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay provides Catholic Special Religious Education (SRE) in public schools using the Walking with Jesus: Pathways of Discipleship curriculum.
This curriculum is officially authorised by the Bishop of Broken Bay. It has been specifically developed for the public school context, offering a structured, engaging, and age-appropriate pathway for children to encounter the love of God, the person of Jesus Christ, and the richness of the Catholic faith.
All Catholic SRE Catechists in the Diocese are required to use this approved curriculum when teaching in state schools.
The Walking with Jesus curriculum (K-6) series is purposely reprinted each year so that updates and revisions may be made.
A process of cyclic review is in place that is undertaken every six years.
Pathways of Discipleship (7-12) series is constantly reviewed. Lesson Plans and resources are provided to SRE teachers in digital format.
