Car Parking Please complete the survey form and let us know your thoughts. Click here. We've planned the new development with everyone in mind. There's parking for those coming to church, parents dropping off their kids at school, people living in the retirement area, staff, and visitors. The school and church have their own entrance, as does the retirement living area. Each entrance leads to a different part of the car park. We use special software that recognizes car number plates to manage who gets into each parking area. For example, Parishioners will not be able to park in the Retired Living area, unless you are a resident. Additionally, during certain periods, free and paid car parking will be available to the public. We're making sure there are free parking spaces for churchgoers coming to Mass and similar events. Traffic and Access Church, School and OSHC (our community) basement car parking spaces with vehicle access at 6 Cambridge Street. All parking entry and exit at 6 Cambridge Street with the exception of special purpose vehicles attending weddings and funerals who may have access in front of the Church. Please see the diagrams below with red routes for our community. There are a total of 93 spaces available over three underground levels. Most likely, scenarios for parishioners will be; first in, first served. School drop-off and pick-up occurs within the Parish basement with direct access to the school. Times and process of school drop-off and pick-up. Please see the red line for the path in the diagrams below. There are special bays for drop off and any special contingencies like kindy/first days at school, sick pick-up, etc. For Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), there will be early morning and late evening drop-off & pick-up parking, and the security considerations will be the same as School drop-off. However, parents will have to look for a parking spot in the designated Parish parking. The capability of the parking system includes a number plate reader that can be granted free access (as requested by Parish) for a certain time. There is number plate recognition by the boom gate, which can be set to a nominal 30-minute free parking. The roller gate will be closed outside of operating hours, typically 12:00 midnight to 6:00 am. We plan to use an afterhours service to assist people who urgently need their car while the car park is closed. An additional fee will be charged for opening after hours. Please see car park entry points at the bottom of this image. Please note the red arrowed route in the diagram ... Please note the red arrowed route in the diagram ...
