A Central Coast journey of listening together, sharing local insight, and discerning where the Holy Spirit is leading communities forward.
As part of the 35th anniversary of our Diocese of Broken Bay, Bishop Anthony Randazzo invited the community of the church on the Central Coast to journey forward together as pilgrims and missionaries. Bishop Anthony identified the Central Coast as a particular context for a renewed proclamation of the Gospel, for evangelisation and catechesis, and for innovative pastoral creativity. He encouraged our pastoral discernment to be guided by the Holy Spirit as we journeyed forward in this exciting community project.
After 12 engaging and very productive months, the PDCC Project Summary Report is completed and available below.
The Final Report includes an Executive Summary, emerging themes, opportunities and obstacles, and critical areas of development that have been identified that require pastoral attention.
The Pastoral Letter provides a key spiritual and pastoral reference point for the Central Coast discernment process. It helps communities reflect prayerfully, listen deeply, and move forward together in mission.
Read this letter as a shared invitation to discern where the Holy Spirit is leading the Church in the Northern Beaches.
