Events and School Engagement Coordinator, Catholic Youth Broken Bay
Permanent, full-time
Based in Pennant Hills


The Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking to recruit a permanent full-time Events and School Engagement Coordinator.

About the Role

This role is accountable to the Team Leader – Catholic Youth Broken Bay, and is responsible for engaging with youth, including young people under the age of 18, in their call to missionary discipleship through regional events and other initiatives across the Diocese. The Events and School Engagement Coordinator also develops and implements strategies to strengthen the partnership with Catholic Schools Broken Bay and Diocesan schools, supporting them in their evangelisation efforts.

The role develops, plans, consults, organises and promotes youth and young adult events. The Events and School Engagement Coordinator serves as a point of coordination, logistical support and communication for these activities, ensuring a child-safe and supportive environment.

About You
A comprehensive understanding and experience in youth events and developing strategies and communications to increase participation in those events will be crucial to your success. You’ll be a creative thinker with an ability to communicate with impact.

Previous knowledge or experience in working with Catholic schools and in school evangelisation will be extremely beneficial as well as a commitment to prayer with the understanding that this is integral for effective ministry in a Catholic setting.

We’re looking for someone who is extremely organised with the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will deal with a number of stakeholders both internally and externally so you will need to be personable and have the ability to communicate at all levels. You take pride in your professionalism and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.

The successful applicant must also meet the following criteria:

  1. tertiary qualifications in youth ministry, event organisation or minimum 3+ years relevant experience,
  2. the right to work in Australia with no limitations, and
  3. will be required to undertake a National Police History Check and Working With Children Check.

Parish Facilities/Operations Coordinator – Epping/Carlingford
Permanent, part-time role

The Epping/Carlingford Parish is seeking to recruit a part-time Parish Facilities/Operations Coordinator. This role plays an important part in the Parish team, providing facilities, operational and administrative services to the Epping/Carlingford community.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of office administration processes, knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting practices coupled with excellent organisational skills and a high attention to detail.

An ability to work autonomously while remaining a team player, commitment to be accountable for performance and an ability to work collaboratively across a wide spectrum of stakeholders will be crucial to your success. You will be required to have a good understanding of, and commitment to, Catholic values and teachings.
