Senior Facilities and WHS Officer
Permanent, full-time position, reporting to Diocesan Financial Administrator
This role provides facilities and maintenance expertise for Diocesan owned assets, notably the Caroline Chisholm Centre, including providing facilities advice regarding maintenance & repairs, contractors, leasing and asset management and compliance with statutory and internal reporting and testing requirements. The role also has WHS responsibilities including providing WHS advice to Chancery staff and Parish personnel and working with Parishes to carry out building maintenance inspections.
The successful candidate will have tertiary or trade qualifications relevant to this role and/or extensive experience in managing property assets, as well as an understanding of the Work Health Safety Act and related Building Management provisions. As the role provides support to both Chancery and Parishes an ability to work cooperatively across a wide spectrum of stakeholders is essential, coupled with an ability to demonstrated initiative and flexibility, often under limited direction and supervision. You’ll need to be proactive, be comfortable being hands-on and have a commitment to ensuring deadlines are met.

Events & Conferences Officer
Permanent, full-time position, reporting to Diocesan Director of Communications
This role provides event and conference coordination services in and for the Diocese, working on a wide variety of internal and external events, coordinating sponsors & speakers and building a network of trusted venue, audio-visual, catering partners and more.
You’ll be involved in anything and everything event related – from developing project plans & budgets, developing promotional strategies and campaigns, designing and developing conference materials, engaging & training volunteers for events as required and sourcing & liaising with event & conference sponsors.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop event & conference project plans including budget compliance with an understanding of social media best practices to enhance and increase event participation and attendance. Your prior experience in database management, online booking systems, electronic direct mail systems and video conferencing platforms will be key to your success.
If you understand that working in a small team requires someone that is happy and comfortable to get stuck in with any task necessary to produce a successful, professional event, then this is the role for you.

Executive Officer, Evangelisation Broken Bay
Permanent, full-time position, reporting to Director Evangelisation Broken Bay
This role provides executive and project management support to the Director Evangelisation Broken Bay implementing the pastoral priorities of the Bishop. The role will also provide support to the Parish Renewal and Discipleship team in implementing strategies for the renewal of parish culture and support for special projects to the Chancellor & Executive Officer.
The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the Diocese of Broken Bay and the capacity to quickly understand the contextual differences within each of its geographical locations and faith communities.
If you’ve had experience in a similar role providing executive level support and project management services, managing effective relationships with a range of complex internal and external stakeholders, then this is the role for you. You’ll need to be able to act independently with sound judgement when to take issues to the next level and when to make decisions and take actions without guidance. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills (especially in business writing and in conversations) including the ability to draft and format briefing papers, reports, executive level correspondence and other communications is crucial.
