Central Coast Pastoral Discernment Project
As part of the 35th anniversary of our Diocese of Broken Bay, Bishop Anthony Randazzo invites the community of the church on the Central Coast to journey forward together as pilgrims and missionaries. Bishop Anthony has identified the Central Coast as a particular context for a renewed proclamation of the Gospel, for evangelisation and catechesis, and for innovative pastoral creativity. Our pastoral discernment is an invitation to recall how the Spirit has guided our journey.
After nearly 12 engaging and very productive months, the PDCC Executive Summary has been completed and the final report presented to Bishop Anthony Randazzo. The Summary provides the key findings from Phases 1 and 2 of the project. Phase 1 correlates statistical data on the Central Coast while Phase 2 invited personal and communal consultation.
Following consideration by Bishop Anthony the next phase will be the implementation plan.
Pastoral Discernment Central Coast reaches another milestone.
Bishop Anthony Randazzo joined priests and parishioners on the Central Coast at a Conversation Forum to hear and comment on data and emerging themes from the PDCC project gathered over the past several months. Once all listening and dialogue sesions have been completed and evaluated, recommendations will go to the Bishop and an implementation plan will be developed later this year. Thank you to everyone who contributed to a fruitful event at Our Lady of the Rosary, The Entrance, on Sunday, and especially our Project Facilitator Patti Beattie.
