The call from Pope Francis is clear: our identity as a disciple of Jesus Christ requires us to undergo an ecological conversion. What does this look like in the context of our parish communities?
Join Professor Neil Ormerod and Ms Thea Ormerod as they unpack the theological and practical framework for parishes to care for our common home.
Neil Ormerod was Professor of Theology at ACU for fourteen years and currently works for the Sydney College of Divinity. He is widely published and has written major articles on Laudato Si'.
Thea Ormerod is the current president of the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC). Established in 2007, ARRCC is a multi-faith Charity working for a safe climate in which all of life can flourish.
Registrations close 23 May 2022.
“The encounter with the person of Jesus Christ and his message of Good News leads us to see our world differently. Creation is a gift from God and our church is called to find sustainable and practical ways to care for it. You are encouraged to join this important conversation as our world responds to both the ‘Cry of the Earth’ and the ‘Cry of the Poor’”. – Bishop Anthony Randazzo
