CCDMI - Northern Beaches - Evening Course

It is compulsory to complete all 8 units of the CCDMI to become a fully authorised CCD catechist or catechist assistant/helper.

Thursday 18 October
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Mission and Ministry of the Catechist

Thursday 25 October
7:00pm - 9:00pm: SRE Teacher in the Parish and the School

Thursday 1 November
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Safeguarding Children / Child Protection

Thursday 8 November
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Teaching the Authorised Curriculum

Thursday 15 November
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Development of the Child and Adolescent I

Thursday 22 November
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Classroom Management: Positive Discipline

Thursday 29 November
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Introduction to the Bible

Thursday 6 December
7:00pm - 9:00pm: Using Interactive Whiteboard Resources

● Registrations by Thursday 11 October 2018
● Please arrive 15 mins prior to the start time to sign in.
● Sessions start punctually

Important:
• It is compulsory to complete all 8 units of the CCDMI to become a fully authorised CCD catechist or catechist assistant/helper.
• Two sessions must be done in a face-to-face mode:
o ‘Teaching the Authorised Curriculum’
o ‘Teaching Strategies: Using Interactive Whiteboard Resources’
(the other 6 sessions may be completed online).
• It is mandatory to complete the 3 units below once every 3 years, per Government requirements:
– ‘Safeguarding Children’
– ‘Classroom Management: Positive Discipline’
– ‘Teaching the Authorised Curriculum’
