Pastoral Care Group

Our parish now has a Pastoral Care Group made up of parishioners who have undertaken voluntary in-services and who are available to be a supportive presence at times of bereavement and on the longer journey of grief, as well as being available for companionship and support to those who may live alone.

Our Pastoral Care Group is coordinated by Margaret Frater and Diana Rosewell and if you or someone you know would like the support of one of these ministries please contact our team via the Parish Office.

Support Group

If you need practical assistance such as transport to Mass, help with medical appointments etc. we have a volunteer team who may be able to help.

Please contact Diana Rosewell on 02 9416 6138.

Monthly Healing Mass

Each month, on the second Friday of the month at 10am we celebrate a Healing Mass for the whole parish in our church at Killara.  During Mass we also celebrate the Sacrament of the Sick (Anointing of the Sick) and Mass is followed by morning tea in St Joseph’s Hall immediately adjacent to the church.

If you require transport to and from the Healing Mass Fran Grant is happy to organise this and can be contacted on 02 9880 7679.

Eucharistic Ministers to the sick and homebound

Some of our Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist who help in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass have also offered to take Holy Communion to the sick and the housebound.

If you would like to be involved in this ministry please contact the Parish Office.

If you, or someone you know, is in need of receiving Holy Communion at Home on a temporary or permanent basis please also contact the Parish Office.
