Further easing of COVID-19 Restrictions in NSW

On 1 July 2020, the NSW Government introduced further easing of restrictions imposed to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The new arrangements are now encapsulated in The Public Health (C0VID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 4) 2020. It contains directions on gatherings, the use of non-residential and residential premises and community sporting activities.

The Order also lists premises that require a C0VID-19 safety plan. The significant item within this Order is the number of people allowed on premises will be determined by the 'one person per 4 square metre rule', with some specific limits applying to weddings and funerals on residential premises.

To assist you in understanding this current round of information, a fact sheet has been developed. It is recognised that parishes will be able to apply the guidelines, effective 1 July in different ways. However, if there be any query please do not hesitate to be in touch as we continue to emerge from these historical circumstances.
