Gaudete et Exsultate "Rejoice and Be Glad" On the Call to Holiness in Today's World
Discussion Guide for Small Groups
Gaudete et exsultate
is the third apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis, dated 19 March 2018. It addresses the universal call to holiness, with a focus "to repropose the call to holiness in a practical way for our own time". Pope Francis tells us that each of us is called to holiness, to be saints. He invites us to live the Beatitudes as a path to holiness, and shows us that this path can be made up of small gestures chosen each day.
This 5-week discussion guide explores this document to allow us to reflect on Pope Francis' message and apply it to our life. The resource can be downloaded as an A4 booklet, or as separate weekly sheets (4 pages per session).

Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel)
“I prefer a Church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets, rather than a Church which is unhealthy from being confined and from clinging to its own security” (Evangelii Gaudium, #49)
